State Bill Colorado Website Redesign
The Goal
The content for State Bill Colorado is parsed directly from the Colorado state legislature site, but we compile the data in a more reader-friendly format. State Bill Colorado gives users the ability to use the latest legislative information to create polls, email lists, and more. Users can also investigate specific senators or lobbyists and look at what they really stand for.
My goal with the State Bill project was to redesign the website to be user-friendly and to match 2024 UI/UX best practices while maintaining a consistent look and feel on every page.

Wireframes
In speaking with the lawyers who use State Bill Colorado, I discovered that they prefer a traditional design with a modern user experience. The challenge with this redesign was combining a clean, traditional design with modern best practices for functionality and accessibility. In creating these wireframes, my goal was to completely flesh out the site before beginning to build. The project manager was able to see all of the pages at once to clarify if my UI/UX design styles would meet the needs of users. Once the wireframes were complete, it was a breeze to get the site on its feet.
While our developer applied my designs to the State Bill Colorado website, I worked closely with her to ensure continuity and supply any other design or asset needs that popped up along the way.
Execution
To ensure consistency in site structure, I used basic building blocks and color to create a hierarchy which was then applied to all pages.
